Effects and benefits of age appropriate assisting systems - practicable process models, evaluation methods and tools

At present, the benefits and effects (e.g. on independence and quality of care) of newly developed age appropriate assisting systems have hardly been scientifically investigated.

Overall, there is a lack of experience, procedures and instruments for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of evaluation activities that can be used to assess the benefits of new approaches to human-technology interaction to support people in need of assistance.

The aim of the project is therefore to provide research stakeholders in the field of human-technology interaction with a procedural model and easy-to-use tools to enable a stronger focus of corresponding research projects on demonstrable benefits for those affected and a better evidence base.

R&D projects in the research field of "Ambient Assisted Living" are thus given a methodological foundation.
